20th century tortoise shell bracket clock has a 17 cm brass dial with inset porcelain Roman hour numeral inserts, pierced black hands; brass 8 day, spring driven movement signed “F.H.S., Germany” (Franz Hermle & Sohn), has a half hour drop hammer strike on 2 bells, springs are wound tight and movement is not running, has key and pendulum. In a brass & boulle inlaid case having a serpentine form with gilt brass filigree mounts, finial and feet, brass door with original glass and pierced decorated filigree, on a matching wall bracket shelf. Clock case measures 55 cm high. Bracket measures 30 cm high x 40 cm wide x 22 cm deep.
